If you’ve ever suffered from anxiety attacks, then you know how painful and miserable it can be. I am well aware of the pain that anxiety could bring. It all started about 2 ½ years ago I had my first attack. It scared me. Had days when things were ok and other days when I just wanted to dig myself a hole to hide in. I was battling to control my mind. Quite often, it seemed to be doing its own thing. The harder I fought against it, the worst it got. Just when I thought things would get better, they seem to have gotten worse like some vicious cycle. It was not a good feeling at all, sleeping and eating was a problem. I would often lay awake at night and could not sleep and had this continuous feeling that something bad would happen to me.

 

 

I Needed Help

One summer night (as I was driving my car), All of a sudden I felt like I was going to die. My heart was racing I felt dizzy.. it felt real odd. So, I decided to go straight home. I tried to take it easy but it would not stop so I drove myself to the ER. They did all the standard tests EKG, blood work and so forth and said well it looks like you’ve had yourself a panic attack. So, they sent me home with some xanax to take as needed. But even after taking the prescribed medications, the symptoms would return and left me deveastated.
